Dr. James Petersen

Dr. Petersen has been in dental practice since 1978. He holds a dental degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Oregon State University. He graduated at the top of his class at both universities with honors. Continuing education has always been an integral part in his dedication to excellence, including courses in implant dentistry, oral surgery, IV sedation and hospital care. He was born in 1950 in Myrtle Point, Oregon and grew up on the coast in Brooking, Oregon. Dr. Petersen enjoys the great outdoors which includes aviation and hunting, especially with his bird dogs, Mae and Izzy. He has been married for 25 years to his wife, Peg (whom also works at his office). He also has a son, Scott, and daughter-in-law, Chrissy, who reside in Portland.
